Section 1- Short title, extent and commencement.
(1) This Act may be called the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012.
(2) It extends to the whole of India .
(3) It shall come into force on such date as the Central Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint.- 14 November, 2012

S1- संक्षिप्त नाम, विस्तार और प्रारम्भ.
(1) इस अधिनियम का संक्षिप्त नाम लैंगिक अपराधों से बालकों का संरक्षण अधिनियम, 2012 है ।
(2) इसका विस्तार संपूर्ण भारत पर है।
(3) यह उस तारीख को प्रवृत्त होगा जो केन्द्रीय सरकार, राजपत्र में अधिसूचना द्वारा, नियत करे । - 14 नवंबर , 2012.
